Not too long ago my husband and I decided that we wanted to change up our weekend. Instead of our normal go-to activities, we wanted to do something different and exciting. Not only did we want to do something with just the two of us, but we also wanted to treat our two boys to a fun activity. That’s when we decided to try out the Groupon Coupon Challenge! Our goal was to find activities on Groupon that would keep us entertained and give us an opportunity to spend quality time together. Plus, we loved the idea of finding awesome discounts! I mean, no one loves the budget life more than I do! We wanted to stay within our budget, so we hopped on Groupon Coupons and started checking out the offers that were in our area. To be perfectly honest, I was little overwhelmed at first by the number of products and services that Groupon Coupons offer! There was SO much to go through! But we took our time and picked out things that we just knew we’d love.
Date Night
First and foremost, I knew that my husband and I were in desperate need of a date night. So we checked out all the restaurant deals. We decided on Simply Fondue in Dallas. Back when we were dating, we used to splurge on fondue. I’m sad to say that we haven’t done that in years. It’s also a place that we wouldn’t want to take our children to, so it was the perfect place for a romantic date! We ended up saving $20 on our dinner!

The next day we surprised our boys and took them to Medieval Times in Dallas. Saying that they loved it would be an understatement! My two boys were in heaven. I absolutely loved seeing their eyes light up during the show! If you’ve never been to Medieval Times, then you definitely have to check it out! It’s certainly an entertaining show. Dinner is served and a story plays out with knights and queens. There are live animals and entire combat scenes at the end. Parts of the audience were assigned a knight to cheer on and ours won. Does that mean we will have good luck for 2019? I’m going to go ahead and say “Why yes, yes it does!” The best part is that we saved over $84 on our tickets! My husband and I turned to look at each other at the end of the show and smiled because not only did our kids have a blast, but we didn’t pay an arm and a leg for the experience.

What’s great is that Groupon also offers more than just restaurants and experiences. In fact, you can search for coupons so that you can find discounts at major stores like Target, Walmart, and more! The cool thing is that you get the coupon code and redeem it when you’re ready! And here is where I make a serious confession. We desperately need new towels. I feel like towels are such an “adult” purchase because no one gets excited about buying them. In fact, they are a pain to buy. There is nothing fun about buying towels. But we desperately need new ones. In fact, I’m flat out embarrassed with what we’ve been offering our overnight guests (sorry mom!). So when we came across a set of super soft and extra large towels, I knew that the Groupon Coupons discount was worth it. I quickly snagged a set and now I’ll no longer have to apologize when I have people come stay the night.

And to be perfectly honest, my husband and I are really bad at falling into a routine when it comes to date nights. That’s why I was so excited to try out a new fondue restaurant. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! I’m happy we branched out of our usual date night places and experienced something different.
