If you have started your Christmas shopping for the season then you’re completely aware of how overwhelming picking out gifts can be. There are so many options and the cost adds up quickly. If you’re on a budget (or you just don’t want to spend a fortune on more stuff), then check out these inexpensive gift ideas for the whole family!
For the Kids
This is a great hardback book full of information that is sure to educate your child and keep them interested. I’m a 5th-grade teacher and have one of these in my classroom and it sees lots of love! My students are so engaged and enjoy it when we have a few minutes of extra time at the end of class where they can read more in this book.
The Original Stomp RocketMy favorite thing about the Stomp Rocket is that it gets my kids outside and running! Even my younger son loves to jump on the end and cause the rocket to shoot into the sky. My only headache with this toy is when the rockets fly onto our roof. Regardless, the kids love it and it’s definitely not expensive.
Remote Control Music CarWe have had three of these cars in different styles. We just happened to have three different people gift our boys this car and they really do love it. When you have more than one then you can make them race. Bonus: the music they play isn’t absolutely annoying, so that’s a win in my book!
VTech KidiBeats Drum SetLet your little one enjoy making music with a drum set. Our kids love musical instruments and play “concert” with them often. My husband is a band director, so he’s always on board with toys that foster a love of making music.
Duplos are perfect for kids who aren’t old enough for regular Lego sets. The pieces are larger and easier to fit together. We have several Duplo sets that my kids have spent hours playing with. They are a perfect gift for a younger kid and don’t break the bank either!
For kids who are a bit older, pick up a Lego set so they can enjoy building their own little world! As a teacher, I love legos because it encourages building with your hands and using your imagination. Kids learn how to follow a set of directions and create a world out of something small. You can even make a special night out of it by popping some popcorn, playing music, and building a Lego set with your child!
Mermaid Tail BlanketWhat little girl doesn’t want to feel like a mermaid? These blankets are cozy and unique! They also have them for adults, which I might just add to my Christmas list.
Pie Face GameThis inexpensive game is a family favorite in our house! We always bring it to family events at the holidays because who doesn’t want to see their grandparent get pied in the face? My kids have had this exact version for a year and still love it to this day. Do yourself a favor and buy this to play at Christmas time. It’s amazing (and budget friendly)!
Blanket ScarfI love everything about this scarf, but my favorite thing about it is the price! My mom likes to buy me and my sister-in-law one matching gift each Christmas. She usually gets us a scarf or a pair of earrings. I love the idea of receiving one matching gift and one personalized gift. This is perfect for a gift exchange, stocking stuffer, or just as a stand-alone gift!
Aromatherapy Stress Relief CandleThis might be one of my favorite candles to have in our home. I like how the scent isn’t too strong, and it helps keep me calm at the end of a long day. Throw in some lotion and fuzzy socks and you have yourself a nice gift set!
Stud EarringsI own these Kate Spade stud earrings and they are awesome. It’s nice to own something by Kate Spade that doesn’t cost a fortune. These earrings come in many different colors and make great gifts when you aren’t sure what to get someone!
This salt lamp is cute and not only gives off a nice glow, but some believe that it helps emit negative ions. People say that it helps them sleep better and wake up feeling refreshed. Even if that’s not true, it’s nice to look at!
Camping HammockWe own a very similar hammock that we picked up in Hawaii while on our honeymoon. It’s easy to hang in our backyard and can be taken down easily. Besides the fact that this gift encourages relaxation and the outdoors, it also folds up and takes very little room to store!
DOSS SoundBox Bluetooth SpeakerWe bought a Bluetooth speaker similar to this one for my husband for Father’s day. Music triggers so many memories and it makes me want to fill our house with music. This one is small and portable, but there are larger options available.
Bluetooth Headphones (that don’t cost a fortune)I bought this exact pair of headphones for my husband for his birthday several months back. He loves the fact that he can listen to music while he does yard work without any headphone cords in the way. He even uses them while he sweeps and mops the house! I’m not saying that buying these headphones will make your spouse want to clean the floors, but I am saying that it’s a possibility!
Burt’s Bees Men’s Gift SetBurt’s Bees makes great products. Buy him something he wouldn’t always buy himself! Let’s be honest, if you give this to your spouse, it’s really a gift for you too.
